Ripple ("we", "our", or "us") is a digital wellbeing app that helps you build healthier screen habits. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
App usage data. Ripple uses Apple's Screen Time (DeviceActivity / FamilyControls) framework to monitor which apps you use and for how long. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers.
Profile answers. During onboarding you answer a few questions about your digital habits (e.g. what triggers your scrolling, how it makes you feel). These answers are stored locally on your device.
AI intervention content. When you engage with an intervention session, anonymised contextual signals (time of day, general usage category) may be sent to our API to generate a personalised response. No personally identifiable information is included.
Subscription data. Purchases are handled by Apple's App Store. We do not store your payment information. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status; RevenueCat may collect a device identifier to verify entitlements.
Crash and diagnostic data. If you opt in to Apple's diagnostic sharing, Apple may share anonymised crash reports with us to help improve the app.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Usage data and profile answers are stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage APIs. Data sent to our API is transmitted over HTTPS and is not retained beyond the duration of the session.
Ripple is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Because most data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by removing the app. For any data held by third-party services, please refer to their respective privacy policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page.
